Overview
The East Africa Acumen Fellowship is a rigorous leadership program by Acumen Academy, focusing on individuals addressing poverty issues in East Africa. It equips participants with knowledge, skills, and a community to strengthen their leadership and scale impact.
After completion, fellows join The Foundry, accessing a global community for ongoing support, including capital, coaching, and continuous learning, fostering lifelong accompaniment in their journey to create social change.
Who Can Apply
The Fellowship looks for “builders” who are working to solve problems of poverty.
- “Builders” addressing poverty:
- Includes founders, CEOs, COOs, MDs in various sectors.
- Emphasis on impact track record.
- Experience Requirement:
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience.
- Demonstrate commitment to solving poverty.
- Contribution and Support:
- Ability and willingness to contribute and receive support.
- Contribute knowledge, experiences, networks, ideas.
- Academic Qualifications:
- No specific academic prerequisites.
- Age Requirements:
- Applicants must be over 18. No maximum age limit.
- English Proficiency:
- Mandatory for seminars and training.
- Exception for Colombia and Spain programs (conducted in Spanish).
