About Bath Flash Fiction Award
Entries can be on any theme or subject but must be original and written in English. They must also be for adult or young adult readers.
Non-fiction and fiction written for children under 13 years are not eligible.
Entries must not have been previously published in print or online, been broadcast, or won a prize. Non-winning Ad Hoc Fiction eBook entries are exempt, hence are eligible for entry.
300 word-limit.
Flash Award judge, Sharon Telfer, shortlists to 20 and chooses the winning, second, third, and two commended fictions.
Who can participate?
Entrants must be 16 years or over.
Entry is open to everyone; locally, nationally, and internationally.
Awards/Prizes
Winners will be announced by 1 November 2021 on our Winners pages.

- £300 second
- £100 third
- Two commendations £30 each

Entry fee
The standard fee is £9.00 GBP for one submission. Reductions are available for multiple entries and early submission.
Some useful information
There are three rounds per year: March to June, July to October, and November to February.
