Who can participate?
All mobility solutions based in the European Union and its neighboring countries, which are part of the Horizon Europe cooperation programme for innovation, can apply between the 1 October and the 1 December 2021.

Awards/Benefits
Winners of the EU Prize will be awarded with the following dedicated programme, including investment and trade opportunities, mentoring, European visibility.
- Top 4: Top 4/Gold Award startups will benefit from a scale-up mentoring programme offered by BCG in order to help them set up in a new European country of their choice.
- Top 10: Top 10 startups will benefit from investment opportunities via a Demo Day in front of European investors (whether private or institutional), powered by Via ID.
- To the top 10 and Special Prizes: 10 winners will receive investment, trade, visibility and mentoring opportunities will be provided by ecosystem of partners of the organizers:
- #SCALEUPS: dedicated pitch session in front of the European Investment Bank (EIB) experts, targeting startups who find themselves eligible to the “Future mobility” funding programme of the EIB;
- #ELECTROMOBILITY: dedicated pitch session in front of the EU-funded investor EIT InnoEnergy and EUBA experts that supports pre-seed and seed-stage startups with different acceleration programmes and finance but also engages in innovation projects with scale-ups, midsize companies and corporates;
- #BLUEMOBILITY: dedicated pitch session engaging with World Ocean Council (WOC) programmes such as the Ocean Investment Platform, Global Blue Economy Innovation Initiatives Network, Roundtables or special sessions at the annual Sustainable Ocean Summit in search of investment, industry partnership and trade opportunities;
Timeline and deadline for European Startup Prize for mobility (EUSP) 2021
- 30 September 2021: application opened
- 30 November 2021: applications closed
- 9 December 2021: innovation map to be released
- February 2022: announcement of the top 50
- March 2022: announcement of the top 10
- 28 March 2022: Award Ceremony
Any other instructions or useful information
The selection process is organized in three levels of selection:
- Level one goes on-line: an on-line selection of the top 50 startups who filled the registration form. The selection is made by the Jury and will be publicly released.
- Level two is an interview: the top 50 will be auditioned by the Jury in order to assess their motivation as well as the quality of their application. At the end of this selection phase, 10 winners are appointed (the top 10)
- Level three, see you at the Award Ceremony: out of the top 10, the 4 best startups will be selected by the Jury, based on their pitch and the overall quality of their application and be designated as Gold winners. During the Ceremony, 10 Special Prizes will also be awarded by our partner’s organisations.
