About the Journalist Fellowship Programme
The Reuters Institute’s Journalist Fellowship Programme is an exclusive opportunity for mid-career journalists globally. Offering a profound exploration of journalism through personal research, seminars, and networking, participants gain insights into global media challenges during their stay at the esteemed Oxford University.
Who Can Apply
- Experience: Open to journalists with a minimum of five years’ professional experience, including freelancers.
- Geographical Inclusivity: Journalists from Europe, Africa, the Asia-Pacific region, North America, and Latin America are warmly welcome.
- Exclusions: Not open to professionals in public affairs, public relations, or corporate communications.

- Symposiums: At the conclusion of each term, Journalist Fellows organize symposiums featuring presentations and panel discussions around pertinent themes, providing insights from their time in Oxford and professional experiences. These events are open to the public and often take place in London.
