About the Program
The Charles R. Wall Conservation Leadership and Management Fellowship is an intensive and pioneering Pan-African leadership program for young African professionals in the environmental sector. It equips participants with leadership and management skills to lead systemic change in conservation and environmental sustainability.
The nine-month, highly experiential and blended learning experience consists of modules that are delivered through diverse formats, including:
- Being part of a community of 15 young professionals with diverse expertise in environmental matters.
- Leadership development workshops.
- Intentional networking activities.
- Learning-by-doing activities that include a placement in a conservation organization.

Academic Requirement | Minimum of a diploma in any field. Applicants with compelling applications based on experience may be considered regardless of academic qualification. |
Other Criteria | Must have a demonstrated interest in conservation and environmental sustainability. Preference for individuals working in government, NGOs, CSOs, corporations, or enterprises. |

Award
This fully funded fellowship covers:
- Air travel to and from home country.
- Ground transport for the physical workshop in Nairobi in May.
- Accommodation during in-person workshops and program-related relocations.
- Stipend for virtual sessions.
- Personalized coaching support for the innovation project.
